Vancouver Rocked

It was terrific to play in Vancouver tonight as our last consert with Björk. Sun was shining though the weather forecast had sugested clouds and rain.

We had sun on our mind and added two new songs to our set so that we could advance a little.

Smoke was in the air and we felt the 'love' for everything.

It is great to play here, experience the city and mountains. And I guess we need to shift some records out here.

MrE also did a little trumpet with Björk on I Miss You.

We fly back tomorrow, great end to a short tour for us. Thanks to all.

Back on Board

I, that is Mr.E, is back on board after doing the Chicago concert a week ago. Tonight we have the Shoreline Amphitheater. Me and Curver landed in SF last night after a pleasant 14 hour trip from Keflavik, Iceland.
We left the ever expanding Leifur Eiríksson Airport into Minneapolis and onto SF. Both of us woke up in excellent form. Curver though wanting to show me strength went surfing, I went on the treadmill and hamstered on for a mile or two.
We have not done souncheck yet, we might not as time does not allow that.
And here is a photo of Curver setting up, fortifying the myth we have invisible technical people with us.
IF you need more of Ghostigital, our site is still open

Chicago Last Night

PICT0003_3_3.jpg
We brought our message of cod and piece to the fair city of Chicago last night amid thunder and lazers. Got zapped up by the powers that be and had a swell time doing what we are doing.
Ghostigital returns to Iceland to play on Wednesday with Finnbogi Pétursson and to return to San Francisco and Vancouver to play with Björk.

Together again
"As longtime fans may know, Einar Örn Benediktsson was the loud, obnoxious, seemingly non-musical character who led the Sugarcubes with Bjork, often inserting himself at the most inopportune moments to shout off-key or deliver a blast of gratingly harsh trumpet noise. Missing in action (at least in America) for a decade and a half, he has resurfaced with his abrasiveness undiminished as part of a two-man band called Ghostigital with producer, guitarist and electronics wizard Curver. They opened Saturday's show.

As Curver delivered a punishingly loud electro-clash assault, Einar ranted and raved, prancing about the stage and sometimes bounding off it to stroll down the aisle, only steps behind a portion of the audience that ran for the shelter of the lobby to ride out the storm. Those of us who stayed were rewarded with a provocative performance in the great electronic-punk tradition of Suicide, making you think, laugh and surrender to the glorious noise and chaos, and reminding veteran Bjork-watchers of when she first started to fly her freak-flag high."

Jennifer Leigh: Hahaha...I thought the pic was an sonogram...I was thinking it was one messed up baby! ;-) When are you coming back to the US?
jerome: This is a very interesting release. I saw you guys do this piece at the festival. Well saw? No not really. The smoke was too thick. The music and the atmosphere was just amazing. Thanks and thanks for sharing this with us.
wimvanhooste: The gig @ Batteriid on Saturday @ Iceland Airwaves '09 was the best gig of Ghostigital I witnessed ever. The gig @ i-8 Gallery was by far the weirdest gig @ Airwaves as off-venue. By the way Captain Fufanu is in my (re)view the best gig of Airwaves '09. Forget GusGus 4ever, here is the Post-GusGus: Captain Fufanu. It runs in the blood! Wim I love Icelandic music 4ever
Jenifer: That was fast!
Jenifer: Awesome that you're playing NY again!
